City of Wichita (Environmental Health)

The City of Wichita's Environmental Health division aims to prevent the sale of tobacco to minors.

Minor volunteers (ages 14-17) are needed approximately 3 hours per week to assist with tobacco compliance checks at local retailers. Minors are accompanied by City staff at all times. Volunteer times are scheduled around school and other extracurricular activities. Application process involves a background check and takes approximately one week.
