Bridget's Cradles

Bridget's Cradles™ organization was born after Matt & Ashley Opliger's daughter, Bridget Faith, was stillborn at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation on October 22, 2014. Ashley's mother, Teresa, had knit a small special cradle for Bridget the week before she was born due to a poor prognosis that was given due to complications in the pregnancy. On the day Bridget was born, Matt & Ashley and their family held her in the cradle, loving on her and making cherished memories with her. Since then, they have been committed to helping other families suffering the loss of their baby by donating cradles to hospitals in all 50 states and sharing resources to support and encourage them during their grieving and healing journey.

Bridget's Cradles™ is a 501c3 nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Kansas. The mission of Bridget's Cradles™ is to provide hospitals with knitted and crocheted cradles to hold babies who were born into Heaven in the second trimester of pregnancy. Bridget's Cradles™ also seeks to provide support to families during the bereavement and grieving process and to raise awareness about pregnancy loss to the general public.
