Who We Are
We are a network of highly diverse people working towards better health care: fighting health disparities, addressing social determinants, improving prevention science, dealing with root causes of poor health. 58.33% 14 Entrepreneurship: We teach artists how to make a living doing art. We nurture entrepreneurs at an early stage before many are considering bigger entrepreneurship programs. Art is community development, we are addressing poverty and building wealth in the community. The artists are the earthworms that make the ground fertile for future development. 33.33% 8 Peer support: We plug people back into their community with peer support. Peer support is good mental health care and saves a ton of money. Artists can do peer support the best because they have a lot of community contacts and they provide strengths based support. We build meaning and purpose instead of doing disease-centric case management.
What We Do
Mental Health Human rights: We correct pervasive misinformation about mental health care.
We fight for human rights for people with mental health labels. We keep people from getting
stuck in the disease model and give them info about harms/ benefits so they can make better
decisions about mental health. 16.67% 4
Art is health care: artists can do substance use prevention, suicide prevention, resilience

Trauma: We teach people how to deal with trauma, individuals and communities. We reduce
