Description: Shopper volunteers help clients while shopping, pack food into bags, stock shelves, sort items in freezer and load client cars. All volunteers in this role must pass background checks and complete VIRTUS training. VIRTUS is a 3 hour class that teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect, as well as the best practices we follow to keep children and vulnerable adults safe in our ministry. Qualifications include: Ability to bend, crouch, stand for extended periods of time and lift at least 10 lbs required. Volunteers in this position may work outside in all types of weather.  Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese welcome!Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every 4th Saturday from 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Description:
Data entry volunteers greet clients, take them through a client information form and enter completed forms into our database. Data entry volunteers must be comfortable with computers and willing to learn our database. This is a client facing position.

Qualifications include: 
Familiar with computers, detail oriented, dependable and self directedVolunteers are needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every 4th Saturday from 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Immigration Services provides assistance with citizenship requirements, work authorizations, family-based petitions, visa application and other related services.

Key Responsibilities: 

Communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, ensuring clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate exchanges. (MANDATORY REQUIREMENT)Greet and assist all visitors and staff in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.Answer and route incoming calls and take messages for the Immigration Services Program Staff.Provide administrative support to schedule appointments. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with data privacy regulations.

Flexible shifts available Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Adult Day Services provides an affordable, quality day program that helps seniors and adults with disabilities maintain independence in the community.

Meal time volunteers will assist staff with serving and meal cleanup. Volunteers will help serve drinks/food to participants, wipe tables, operate the dishwasher, and wipe counters and cabinets.

All volunteers in this role must pass background checks, a 2 Step TB test, and drug screen. Volunteer must also complete VIRTUS training. VIRTUS is a 3 hour class that teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect, as well as the best practices we follow to keep children and vulnerable adults safe in our ministry.

Volunteer shifts from 11:00am-12:30pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Harbor House provides a safe, 24/7 shelter for survivors of domestic abuse and outreach services. 

Deep cleaning volunteers will help clean around the shelter, including but not limited to, disinfecting doorknobs and common touch points, dusting, wiping down baseboards, sweeping and/or vacuuming, room flipping, and/or per need cleaning.

Qualifications: Detail oriented, ability to bend, no lifting restrictions, ability to work alone with little supervision.

Become a classroom volunteer today through the AmeriCorps Senior Foster Grandparent Program at Catholic Charities! Seniors (ages 55+) spend time in early learning centers, public/parochial schools, and shelters across the county to build relationships with students to help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.  Volunteers receive a tax-free stipend, mileage reimbursement, paid training, and the opportunity to join a community of like-minded senior volunteers! This is a great opportunity for seniors who enjoy working with children to give back to their community!

 

Volunteers work 15-40 hours per week with flexible scheduling.  Volunteers in this position must pass a background check and take a three-hour class called Virtus, which teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries and schools that work with the Foster Grandparent program.
