Help newly arrived refugees learn English! The IRC's ESL classes prepare students for their new lives in America through vocational English Instruction taught by volunteer instructors.
Location: The IRC's office at 1530 S. Oliver St. Wichita, KS 67218
Time Commitment: Classes take place M-TH 9:30-11:00. Instructors are required to commit to 1 Class/Week. Additional meetings and prep time are required as needed.
Responsibilities: Prepare and assist with classroom activities to deliver IRC-approved curriculum; assist with identifying client's initial English levels and progress over time; provide feedback on areas of continued need.
Skills/Qualifications: Previous teaching experience preferred, especially in the area of ESL/TSOL/ELL education. However, all applicants interested are encouraged to apply.
