What is a Volunteer Ambassador?
A Volunteer Ambassador will represent Rainbows at various functions and events, such as community celebrations, school and university events, health fairs, corporate events, sporting events and other special events to expand Rainbows’ message to new audiences.
Volunteer Ambassador Events Examples
- Schools and universities: WSU Volunteer Fair, Haysville Schools Resource Fair
- Community Celebrations: Community Resource Night at Brooks Center STEM & the Arts Magnet Middle School, Sisters and Brothers for Healthy Infants (SBHI), which is comprised of KU School of Medicine researchers and Black Graduate Chapter
- Community-based fraternities and sororities for the 3rd annual community event Celebrate Day 366 – A Community Birthday Party Celebrating Baby’s First Year
- Health Fairs: Wesley NICU World Preemie Day Celebration Health Fair, Hillside Christian Church Health Fair
- Corporate Events: Ignite ICT, Wichita Business Journal, Wichita Chamber of Commerce Sunrise Scrambler
- Sporting Events: Wichita Thunder Hockey Night, Wingnuts and WNBC Baseball
You only need to attend ONE training session to become a Volunteer Ambassador. We are offering two options in order to work with different schedules:
