We enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

Utilizing the game of golf, we create hands on learning opportunities for kids ages Kindergarten - 12th grade to receive our health habits based curriculum from adult mentors in the Greater Wichita area. Nearly 1,200 youth engage in our programming on an annual basis and an additional 18,000 kids receive our curriculum from their PE Teacher during the school day. 

Since 2016, we have created a safe space for kids to learn the game of golf without the barriers that are typically associated with the sport. We provide all equipment, waive program fees for those who need it, and position our programs at accessible courses across the Wichita area. As the demand for our program continues to grow, our need for adult volunteers does too. Whether you're a scratch golfer or just enjoy working with children, First Tee - Greater Wichita has a volunteer opportunity for you!
