Help a child improve their reading skills. Become a Read to Succeed Reading Coach.
United Way Read to Succeed partners with Wichita Public Schools to pair volunteer reading coaches with students who are struggling with their reading skills. Coaches meet weekly with a second or third grade student for 30 minutes at their school to listen to them read and provide intervention tactics. Everyone (men and women) is welcome to volunteer. No financial gift is needed to participate. Free training is provided.
